Sermorelin

A peptide that encourages your body’s own growth hormone release.

As we age, natural growth hormone levels may decline. Sermorelin acts on the pituitary gland to encourage the release of your own growth hormone, which may help support lean body mass, recovery and restful sleep as part of a healthy lifestyle. A licensed provider reviews your health history and goals and prescribes it, in compounded form, only when it’s appropriate for you.

Your assessment helps a clinician decide what fits. Choosing a product does not guarantee a prescription.

What to know before getting started

Compounded sermorelin is not FDA-approved. The FDA does not verify the safety or effectiveness of compounded drugs, including sermorelin. Side effects can include injection site reactions (pain, swelling, redness), headache, flushing, dizziness and nausea; these are usually mild and transient. Serious side effects are rare but may include severe allergic reactions, changes in blood pressure or increased intracranial pressure; seek immediate medical attention if these occur. Sermorelin stimulates the growth hormone axis, can increase IGF-1 and may affect glucose metabolism and fluid balance. It isn’t for you if you have a known hypersensitivity to sermorelin or any of its ingredients, are pregnant or planning to become pregnant, are breastfeeding, have active cancer or a history of cancer not in remission, or have a history of epilepsy, untreated hypothyroidism or hyperglycemia.
